Mother's day

Hey Ife,
Mothers' day on Sunday... you got your mum a lovely card in which you scribbled in :) signed and posted this afternoon.

Last week I received your artwork in the post...thanks very much, it takes pride of place on the fridge! I've attached a copy that I'll send to Grandma.

Grandpa came back from Florida on Monday, he kept asking after you. They both (& Grandma) miss you sooo much. Grandpa bought you a t-shirt from his trip! But like all Grandpa's t-shirts they are tres grande!

Uncle Ed asked after you... I told him I spoke to you this morning, you were soo chatty in the mornings, I started crying on the train, I miss you sooo much, it hurts. I keep believing God I will see you again, for longer, really soon. Sometimes, I just catch myself staring at your picture which is on my desktop of my computer

I also sent you a lil pair of red sneakers. I got them from Clapham, last Saturday. That was in your package that I sent. In addition to that was a skirt Grandma bought you. You'll look sooo cute in them! I'll ask Mummy to send me a picture!

9th Febuary 2008 - Day 31

I've always had the idea of writing to my baby, even before you were born! All the things I would tell you, things I feel are important. Things I would do if I had a time machine, maybe like the one in Back To The Future! Learn a language, maybe Spanish, French or German. Learn Yoruba, and be a professional! Anyway, I'll talk about that later on in the blogs!

I've missed you sooo much since you have been away, I used to speak to you while I was at work, but now I tresure the noises you make now even more. I speak to you probably nearly every other day. It hurts not to have you here everyday...

This weekend was particualy tough, as I learned from your mum, that you had been refered to a specialist doctor. I wanted to come down to see you in Cornwall, but mum had plans and told me not to. All I wanted to do, is hold you and tell you everything will be OK. I'm your daddy and thats what we do.

Your Aunties Abby and Emily were going to Cornwall, so I was told not to come...Anyway, I am allowed to come next week to see you, that will make 37 days.We went to China Town to celebrate Chinese New Year with Xuer, and I would have loved for you to be there. Uncles Bayo, Tayo, Folu, Aunties Tolu and Liz, Xuer and her friend, Grandma, Aunty Grandma, Cousins Craig, Cora and Claudette. Ended up back at Uncle Ben's eating Ice Cream, Apple Strudel, custard and carrot cake! I had all of them, excluding the custard. Do you like custard, I wonder?!

Its late baby, well actually 01.34am and Daddy's gotta work in the morning! Signing off now...
