Hey Ife,

I should have uploaded these earlier, here are a few pics from your second birthday party.

I travel down to Cornwall, just to spend it with you. Aunty Emily was staying so I headed back on the 5pm train back. It was soo worth it to see you on your special day!

Your mum put on a lovely spread for you and your friends, Toby and Leon! You got soo many gifts including your Spidy costume and video from me, and a trunki from me.

Lunch with Daddy

Hey there beautiful, it was such a nice surprise to see you for lunch!  

You came by to see Sandra and the ladies from work, helping yourself to the water machine! You're quite the little lady.

Mum said you've been in London over her birthday weekend.  I hope you had fun!  

Guess who's coming to Daddy's this weekend?!  I'm so excited!  Its Uncle Bayo's birthday on the Sunday, so we'll go there together and celebrate with him and you can pat the bump again!

Another Fuzz visit

Hey there my beautiful baby, 

I spoke to you this afternoon and once again distracted by Postman Pat!  It was just like the visit to your Grand Uncle Ladi's place in Lilleshall, in Uncle Bayo's car!  You watched the Postman Pat and Dora the Explorer DVD's back to back pretty much the whole journey!

We had to go to the hospital to visit Uncle Ruffo and you single handedly lifted our spirits and cheered us up considering how ill he was.  You were soo much fun, drawing us all pictures (See below) and washing your hands with the sanitizer gel every moment you remembered!  

When I called this morning, your mum said she woke up to you sucking on her nose, you used to do that when you were about 2 or 3 months old!  How funny is that!  

I' going to see you on the weekend of the 20th!  I'm so excited... 

Anyway, I'm off to bed my precious, remember, Daddy loves you... always!

Sunday trip to Ikea - A Chair for Ife!

Hey Ife,


On the Sunday after the Saturday, Uncle Bayo, Aunty Tolu, Aunty Kam and I ended up in Ikea, buying a few bits for the flat! I saw this gorgeous chair in Ikea, it was soo perfect for you, it almost had your name on! So we bought it for you for when you came round! Godfather J and Aunty Mary came by that afternoon and he's the pair of us putting your chair together!





Baby girl, I just want you to know that even when you're not here, you are still in ALL our thoughts and you're loved sooo much. Over and out, baby. I have asked to have you over the bank Holiday in August, we're taking your Grandma away for the weekend. It will be double amazing if you could come too.

those 10 days, in addition to car, bug, Marcus (pronounced Markos!)

Hey Fuzz,
I went to see Uncle Gerald, Aunty Caroline and lil Niema.  I'll take you to go and see her one day, she's so little, you'll love her.

I miss you soo much, I hear you are going to Australia to see mum's friend Julian. I really wish you could stay with me while she's away, anyway I hope you have a good time. I know you will, I went to Aus while you were in mummy's tummy. Its lovely, so warm, with great architecture.  The people are lovely too.

We should be heading to Murcia again in June, so looking forward to spending that time with you soaking up the sun!

It is always fun and a nice surprise to hear your voice on the phone. You're more than a friend you're my best friend. Your more than my best friend your my sister. And your family is like my family.

So when we started talking and you sounded really sad, I was completely affected and thrown off all day.
You all (Sam, Folu, you, mom, dad, Eddie, everybody) have a tremendous light to your spirits. Madison has it too, which is why she is drawn to you all soo much. Its hard now I know, but I know that you know and feel that everything will work out and Maddy will be with her family for good when its all said and done.

Sam and the rest of you are in my prayers. But it won't last forever or even for long. I am sure Maddy will be home where she belongs soon soon soon.

This pic I took last Sunday after leaving rehearsal in Hollywood. The sun was setting and the clouds were purple blue. It was a vanilla sky. It made me smile and appreciate life and all the good things in it.
You would be one of my "I'm grateful for" things. True friendship is rare. In case you don't know you inspire me to be a better me, simply be being you.

Wow... what a journey!  Just got back from seeing you! Eight hour trip as the train was delayed, but I'd do it again, just to hear your say Daddy again! This was my first time I heard you say it and it still brings a smile to my face.  

 

This weekend, I gave you a bath and tucked you into bed after about 5 stories and a phone call to Grandma and Aunty Tolu and a voicemail to Uncle Bayo!  You just kept saying Daddy, Daddy, Daddy and I just wanted them to hear you say it!  The funny thing is that you waved goodbye to them when we were finishing off the conversation!  One more story... then it was bedtime.  

 

You woke up at about 3am and when I came to grab you, I got one of those hugs that melts me heart.  More milk, another cuddle and you were out like a light, like Daddy like Fuzzy!

After a Weetabix and banana breakfast, we drove over to Newquay Waterworld.  I put your swimming costume the wrong way round!  After a quick change and putting your arm bands on, we were off!  You were soo brave, you love jumping off the edge, into the pool by yourself, climbing up the slide and sliding down and when you had had enough you just walked out off the pool, it was amazing seeing you so ‘grown up’ even before you could talk!

 

Fishcake, a burger for your mum and bream for me at Fistral Blu restaurant, you would only eat if you feed yourself!  Another one of those amazing hugs as we went for a walk, then back home to drop me off at the train station.  

Words can’t explain how much I love you MIFC; you are the biggest part of my heart.

Anyway, its off to bed for me, darling, see you on Good Friday.

Mother's day

Hey Ife,
Mothers' day on Sunday... you got your mum a lovely card in which you scribbled in :) signed and posted this afternoon.

Last week I received your artwork in the post...thanks very much, it takes pride of place on the fridge! I've attached a copy that I'll send to Grandma.

Grandpa came back from Florida on Monday, he kept asking after you. They both (& Grandma) miss you sooo much. Grandpa bought you a t-shirt from his trip! But like all Grandpa's t-shirts they are tres grande!

Uncle Ed asked after you... I told him I spoke to you this morning, you were soo chatty in the mornings, I started crying on the train, I miss you sooo much, it hurts. I keep believing God I will see you again, for longer, really soon. Sometimes, I just catch myself staring at your picture which is on my desktop of my computer

I also sent you a lil pair of red sneakers. I got them from Clapham, last Saturday. That was in your package that I sent. In addition to that was a skirt Grandma bought you. You'll look sooo cute in them! I'll ask Mummy to send me a picture!

A Blog for Le Fuzz

9th Febuary 2008 - Day 31

I've always had the idea of writing to my baby, even before you were born! All the things I would tell you, things I feel are important. Things I would do if I had a time machine, maybe like the one in Back To The Future! Learn a language, maybe Spanish, French or German. Learn Yoruba, and be a professional! Anyway, I'll talk about that later on in the blogs!

I've missed you sooo much since you have been away, I used to speak to you while I was at work, but now I tresure the noises you make now even more. I speak to you probably nearly every other day. It hurts not to have you here everyday...

This weekend was particualy tough, as I learned from your mum, that you had been refered to a specialist doctor. I wanted to come down to see you in Cornwall, but mum had plans and told me not to. All I wanted to do, is hold you and tell you everything will be OK. I'm your daddy and thats what we do.

Your Aunties Abby and Emily were going to Cornwall, so I was told not to come...Anyway, I am allowed to come next week to see you, that will make 37 days.We went to China Town to celebrate Chinese New Year with Xuer, and I would have loved for you to be there. Uncles Bayo, Tayo, Folu, Aunties Tolu and Liz, Xuer and her friend, Grandma, Aunty Grandma, Cousins Craig, Cora and Claudette. Ended up back at Uncle Ben's eating Ice Cream, Apple Strudel, custard and carrot cake! I had all of them, excluding the custard. Do you like custard, I wonder?!

Its late baby, well actually 01.34am and Daddy's gotta work in the morning! Signing off now...
